Finding the Right Fit

Your relationship with the Hospice of Lancaster County is very personal, stemming perhaps from good experiences in the past or a belief in our mission. The reasons may even be intangibles that are hard to express but make the relationship feel right.

When developing your own estate plans and deciding how your assets will be redistributed at a later time, you are really looking for choices that answer two basic questions: "Where is my passion?" and "How will this help?"

Our planned giving staff often tells us, in early discussions with potential donors, how they can see eyes light up and hear the conversations become more lively when people start describing what matters most to them. Charitable gifts are generally the result of finding what donors refer to as "the right fit."

People who have supported the Hospice of Lancaster County in the past are usually looking for at least four benefits from their acts of generosity. They wish to:

  • Support our mission
  • Extend a legacy beyond their lifetime
  • Protect their heirs
  • Receive a reduction in taxes

We would be happy to show you some examples of what previous gifts have done to help support our mission.

In many cases, seeing firsthand the good work that is being accomplished results in a greater appreciation of how you can help fund future accomplishments. And through giving, contributors affirm to others that philanthropy is a good thing.

The Hospice of Lancaster County is anxious to spell out our future needs and discuss how you can be a part of the larger mission. We welcome your inquiries, and all discussions will be held in the strictest confidence. We want you to find the right fit with us.
